Powertune 4×4 & Car Service Centre is your local family owned and operated mechanic, four-wheel drive accessories and camping gear shop. We are equipped to offer the whole range of mechanical services, providing a one stop shop for our customers.  We are all vehicle enthusiasts from the classic and muscle cars to using our 4WD’s in the great outdoors and we like to help our customers to remain safe on the road.

Mechanical Service Advisor

This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who understands how a workshop operates and enjoys delivering great customer service.

As a Mechanical Service Advisor, you’ll be the key link between our customers and the workshop. With a dedicated Workshop Co-ordinator managing technician allocation and workflow, your focus will be on customer communication, accurate job scoping, and ensuring a smooth service experience from booking through to completion.

• Booking vehicles in for servicing, repairs, and inspections
• Discussing vehicle concerns with customers and accurately scoping required work
• Preparing estimates and explaining recommended repairs and maintenance
• Keeping customers informed on job progress and obtaining approvals where required
• Liaising with the Workshop Co-ordinator and technicians regarding job details
• Managing job cards, invoicing, and service documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in an automotive service environment
• Trade-qualified mechanic strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of mechanical servicing, diagnostics, and repair processes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple customer jobs
• Confident computer skills and experience with workshop management systems
